Digital Business Ireland (DBI), the representative body for 8,500 Irish digital businesses, has announced details of Digital Summit: FutureProof, to be held at Croke Park later this year.
Taking place on 6 September, the summit will be the largest event to date from DBI and will focus on building resilience in digital businesses across all sectors, and feature 40 speakers from leading global brands, 50 exhibitors and representatives from more than 1,000 businesses.
Leading speakers from TikTok, the UN, Planet Payments, Fortinet, and Garda’s National Cyber Crime Bureau will present on topics such as AI, cybersecurity, Web 3, ChatGPT, sustainability and how recent developments in these fields will affect Irish businesses.
DBI said all sessions would be curated to be insightful and designed to empower and enable businesses to face the challenges currently facing a multitude of sectors.
The expo section of the summit will host a number of digital suppliers, including Virgin Media, Humm, ADAMAPP, and Permanent TSB, DBI’s partner and sponsor of Digital Summit: FutureProof.
“This year has marked a profound change in the way businesses operate, engage and propagate their goods, wares and services online,” said Ashley McDonnell, chairperson of Digital Business Ireland.
“Futuristic technologies have become mainstream, with the proliferation of new AI applications and businesses.
“This kind of technological advancement has caused disruption to every sector from retail to hospitality to professional services, and we need to be prepared to not only deal with the change but position our online businesses to become world leaders in the space.”
FutureProof will be the second Digital Summit hosted by DBI after last year’s event at the RDS, which was attended by hundreds of SMEs an e-commerce businesses.
