Aiden Corkery

Aiden Corkery has extensive experience in strategic communications and public affairs, having spent more than two decades at the cutting edge of Irish journalism and politics.

As the former Deputy Government Press Secretary, he acted as the lead spokesperson and communications adviser for the Green Party as it implemented one of the most ambitious policy programmes in Irish political history. He devised a series of successful media campaigns, led on both internal and external stakeholder engagement and ensured the party’s environmental policies were communicated in a clear and pragmatic manner at all levels.

Prior to his time in Government, Aiden enjoyed a highly successful career in journalism, including as a political correspondent for the Business Post, Head of News for the Irish Daily Mail and a business reporter in Latin America.

A native of Kerry, he brings a strategic focus to all communications as well as a sharp political analysis. His skills include media relations, stakeholder engagement, crisis management, interview preparation and speech writing.
