Gillian Fitzpatrick is a seasoned media strategist, storyteller, and communications leader with more than 18 years of experience shaping content, campaigns, and commercial success across Ireland’s media landscape.

Her career spans senior editorial and commercial roles, including Features Editor at the Irish Daily Mail, Commercial Director at Bauer Media, and Director of Storytelling at Sheology Digital. In 2016, she served as Director of Media for Nessa Childers’ successful European Election campaign, leading all media and communications strategy.

Gillian was Chief Commercial Officer at Maximum Media until 2021, where she oversaw the daily operations and strategic growth of one of Ireland’s most dynamic digital publishers. Since then, she has provided executive-level consultancy to a range of high-profile businesses, specialising in building new brands, revenue streams, and audiences with a sharp focus on digital-first strategies.

Known for her deep understanding of the evolving media ecosystem – from print and broadcast to social and digital – Gillian has a particular flair for identifying emerging trends and aligning them with authentic brand storytelling. She is a regular media contributor, with appearances on RTÉ, BBC, and Virgin Media covering topics including sport, politics, and culture.

Gillian has also served on the steering committee of the 20X20 campaign to champion women in sport, and mentors Arts & Humanities students at University College Dublin (UCD). From 2020–2023, she also served on the national board of Softball Ireland, working to promote governance and visibility of the sport.
